IMPORTANT:
It is God you are doing business with, not people. He is the Spirit Person with ultimate intelligence. Speak
to Him as you do to any other person. He loves honesty and will hear your requests as you call out to Him.
YOU MUST ACKNOWLEDGE
THAT YOU HAVE SINNED
AND NEED FORGIVENESS
1Jn 1:8-10 - If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling
ourselves and not living in the truth.
9 But if we confess our
sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and
to cleanse us from all wickedness.
10 If we claim we have
not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that His
word has no place in our hearts.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory God,
(Rom 3:23)
YOU MUST ASK GOD TO FORGIVE YOU AS YOU CONFESS YOUR SINS
"Come now, let's settle this," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make
them as white as snow. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as white as wool.
(Isa 1:18)
Mat 7:7,8 -  "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8  "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
YOU MUST REPENT, (TURN AWAY FROM YOUR SINS)
Now repent of your sins and turn to God,
so that your sins may be wiped away.
(Act 3:19)
2Cor. 7:10 - For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There's no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
Mk. 1:15  "The time promised by God has come at last!" He announced. "The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!"
YOU MUST RECEIVE JESUS CHRIST INTO YOUR LIFE AS YOUR LORD & SAVIOR
God does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. (2P.3:9) For God loved
the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him (Jesus) will
not perish but have eternal life.
(Jn.3:16)
IMPORTANT:
IMPORTANT:
But EVERYONE who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved' (Acts 2:21)
God wants you to come to Him, He desires to give you forgiveness and eternal life. If you receive Him He will receive you
To all who believed Him and accepted Him, He
gave the right to become children of God.
(Jn. 1:12)
Rom 3:25 - For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed His life, shedding His blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when He held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past,
Col 2:6 - And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus
as your Lord, you must continue to follow Him.
God I'm coming to you now acknowledging to you that I have sinned against you. I am very grieved that I have offended you and I now ask you to forgive me and cleanse me of my sin. I now turn away from a life of sin and turn to you with all my heart. I ask that you would come into my life and help me to live a life free from sinning. I thank you for sending your Son Jesus Christ to die as a sacrifice for my sins. I now believe with all my heart in Jesus Christ and receive Him into my life as my personal Lord and Savior. I thank you for loving me a receiving me into your eternal spiritual family.
Listed below are a number of very important things to do as a follow up to your initial salvation experience.
TELL SOMEONE WHAT YOU HAVE JUST DONE
Rom 10:9,10 -  If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him
from the dead, you will be saved. 10  For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it
is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved
.
As soon as possible you should seek to tell someone that you have just accepted Jesus Christ into your life as your
personal Lord and Savior. It might be a loved one a close friend or a Pastor of a church. You need to vocalize publicly
what has happened in your heart. Jesus said in Mathew 10:32,33
"Everyone who acknowledges Me publicly here on
earth, I will also acknowledge before My Father in heaven.
33  But everyone who denies Me here on earth, I will also
deny before My Father in heaven.

START NOW TO DEVELOP INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST
Rom 5:8-11  But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. 9
And since we have been made right in God's sight by the blood of Christ, He will certainly save us from God's
condemnation.
10  For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of His Son while we were
still His enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of His Son.
11  So now we can rejoice in our
wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.
Prior to the initial salvation experience through the Lord Jesus Christ there is no relationship with God. Now there is! This is a whole new life you have now entered into and you will need to learn some important things to enhance the new relationship you have with God. COMMUNICATIONS is a vital part of any ongoing relationship. God has made complete provision for your healthy development. New Life Communications consists of two major components. They are prayer (that you talking to God) and reading the Bible (that's God talking to you).

PRAYER:
Heb 4:16  So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.  1P. 5:7-Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.
IMPORTANT: You should determine immediately to establish a regular time each day for prayer and Bible reading. Don't wait until you can find the time, make the time! Your New Life in Christ requires a specific spiritual diet in order to properly develop. Every time you read the Bible God will being feeding you. Enjoy your new relationship.
READING THE BIBLE: 2P. 3:18  but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

WHAT BIBLE TO USE?
Your devotional Bible should be an easy reading version. I suggest either the NLT (New Living Translation) or the NIV (New International Version). I also suggest that you start reading from in the New Testament books of John, Colossians & Ephesians. That should get you started at least! I have found it very helpful to begin with pray before reading the Word, asking for God's help.
FIND YOURSELF A GOOD, "BIBLE BELIEVING", "JESUS LOVING", LOCAL CHURCH
1Cor. 12:12-18 - The human body has many parts, but the many parts make up one whole body. So it is with the body
of Christ.
13  Some of us are Jews, some are Gentiles, some are slaves, and some are free. But we have all been
baptized into one body by one Spirit, and we all share the same Spirit.
14 Yes, the body has many different parts, not
just one part.
15  If the foot says, "I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand," that does not make it any less
a part of the body.
16  And if the ear says, "I am not part of the body because I am not an eye," would that make it any
less a part of the body?
17  If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how
would you smell anything?
18  But our bodies have many parts, and God has put each part just where He wants it.
Finding a good "Bible believing", "Jesus loving", local may not be that easy for you. Take your time though! Check around, ask other "good living" Christians. Friendship with other Believers is important to your spiritual development. Godly local church leadership will care for the well being of your soul. They will do everything possible to help and encourage you in your relationship with God and His people. You will be able to learn  a lot from them.
Finding the right local church will require prayer and patience. God will direct you to where He wants you to be!
NOTE: Heb 13:17  Obey your spiritual leaders, and do what they say. Their work is to watch over your souls, and they
are accountable to God. Give them reason to do this with joy and not with sorrow. That would certainly not be for your benefit.
YOU SHOULD ANTICIPATE CHANGE
Col 1:6 - This same Good News that came to you is going out all over the world. It is bearing fruit everywhere by changing lives, just as it changed your lives from the day you first heard and understood the truth about God's wonderful grace.
God is in the business of changing lives. He has begun the process of change in you. Some of the changes are very quick and often times dramatic others happen over time. God is changing you into the likeness of the Lord Jesus Christ. The old sin nature that you were born with should die off and the new nature you have received will increase. This increase of the New Life in you will be determined each time you choose to obey God rather than the old nature of sinning.
Rom 12:2 - Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by
changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
2Co 3:18  So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord-who is the Spirit-makes us more and more like Him as we are changed into His glorious image.

EXPECT TO BE MISUNDERSTOOD BY SOME PEOPLE
1P. 4:3,4 - You have had enough in the past of the evil things that godless people enjoy-their immorality and lust, their feasting and drunkenness and wild parties, and their terrible worship of idols. 4 - Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you.
It can very difficult and somewhat of a shock to discover that your decision to accept Jesus Christ into your heart and make Him Lord of your life is not readily accepted by family or friends. This can be very challenging however you have made the right decision and God will help you through these hard times as you call upon Him for help.
1P. 4:12-14 - Dear friends, don't be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening
to you.
13 Instead, be very glad-for these trials make you partners with Christ in His suffering, so that you will have the
wonderful joy of seeing His glory when it is revealed to all the world.
14 So be happy when you are insulted for being
a Christian, for then the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.
Jesus told us that we would misunderstood and even persecuted by people who are not of His eternal spiritual family.
2Tim. 3:12  Yes, and everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
It is not at all
uncommon for godly living people to be misunderstood and persecuted by unbelievers, Jesus was and it will happen to us
as well. We are encouraged by the truth that God will never leave or forsake us. He is with us all the time.

Heb 13:5 -... For God has said, "I will never fail you. I will never abandon you."
You have just begun a whole New Life in Christ. It's one of progressive spiritual growth. It's similar to starting in a race. It's begun but will not end until Jesus' returns to earth. We're to be greatly encouraged in the promises God has given us. As you develop you will become more familiar with  these New Covenant promises, learn them and anticipate God to fulfill them. He is faithful to His Word.
Pro 4:18  But the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn, That shines brighter and brighter until the full day.
