You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. (Mat 7:13)
Super natural powers are for real! There's a great curiosity about the super nature. There's no question that there is such a thing that's for sure. These super natural powers fall into two categories. Good and evil! Delving into the occult with it's various spin offs can at first seem innocent enough in that all you're really doing is fallowing your human curiosity about powers that exceed that of human origin. What you must understand is, is, at present there is a spiritual battle raging for the souls of people and what might seem innocent enough at first can lead to great spiritual tragedy for you.
What I'm going to share with you is the absolute truth of God's eternal Word. Please listen. The powers of darkness are real! They are powerful and they have horrific purpose. John. 10:10 - The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. They may come on as innocent angels of light but their intentions are to drag as many people as they can to their own eternal doom; forever cutoff from God's person and presents. Make no mistake regarding this matter. Hell is for real and Hell is their home and they aggressively pursue their purpose of destroying peoples lives.
It was into this aggressive spiritual battle field that Jesus came nearly two millenniums ago. He was sent from the Father's heart on a mission. A major part of that mission was to destroy the devil and his works. God had purposed to rescue humanity from Satan's death grip. God's heart has not changed towards people. He still longs to see them living in peaceful freedom. He still longs to see them responding to His loving embrace. God purposes to bless you. He wants to bless you. he wants to see you enjoying His blessings rather than curses of darkness. It can happen for you. Jesus has made the way for you to come out from under the bondage and death grip of sin. You can be free and you can be free now!
At present the human race is under the direct and powerful influence and manipulation of the super natural powers of darkness. 2Cor 4:4 - Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don't believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don't understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. This explains the reason for such evils in our world, the disease, the wars, the murders, etc.
It's very interesting to note the ministry of Jesus when He was here on earth and how it directly confronted the powers of darkness.
Math 11:5 - the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf
hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached
to the poor.
Act 10:38 - And you know that God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the
Holy Spirit and with power. Then Jesus went around doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
All these manacles, as wonderful and as meaningful as they are and were to the individuals, still only effected them temporarly. These miracles touched people in the "here and now" but these miracles went no further than this temporal world. Even those raised from the dead ended their life here on earth in physical death.
The purposes of the powers of darkness go beyond the natural world into the spiritual. Their purpose is to have the door of eternal life shut and bolted to as many as they can. This is the area that Jesus came to permanently effect! Jesus came to destroy the devils work of enslaving all people in eternal destruction, forever cutoff from the blessings of God's person and presence. Jesus came so that people could have the destiny of eternal life!
How would Jesus destroy the devil and his works? The devil's work is sin. Sin (rebellion against God) produces both physical and spiritual death. To destroy the devil Jesus would have to attack the sin issue at its heart! To do this He would become the atoning sacrifice! He would pay sin's penalty in full. The sinless One would take upon Himself the sins of the world. He would suffer physical death of behalf of sinners. he would personally stand in for sinners and take the Fathers righteous judgment. He would do for people what they could never do for themselves. To remove sin's penalty and power in this way would completely disarm the the devil and the powers of darkness. Col 2:14,15 - He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. 15 In this way, He disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by His victory over them on the cross.
When Jesus died on the cross He did so for you. He paid in full the price to purchase your freedom from the slave market of sin. You need not answer for your own sins, they've already been answered for. Jesus paid in full the price to save you from your sins. The penalty for your sins has been paid for in full. What's left is for you to fully embrace Jesus and what He has done for you. He is reaching out to you right now with the gift of forgiveness and eternal life. Will you reach out to Him and receive it?
Will you allow the Lord to take you out from under the bondage and influence of the powers of darkness? Will you reach out to Him right now asking Him to forgive you of your sins and to wash you clean in His life's saving blood. With His blood applied to your spiritual life you are then spiritually identified as His and are therefore free from the penalty and power of sin.
The powers of darkness are real in this world and nothing to be fooled with. They need not be feared if you are personally identified with the Lord Jesus Christ who has overcome them. God has placed a time limit to the devils influence in the world. In the not too distant future the devil will conclude his dominion of terror on earth. The end of the great spiritual drama of the ages concludes with Jesus in His rightful place as King of kings and Lord of lord. The on the other hand ends up in Hell's flames. Rev 20:10 - Then the devil, who had deceived them, was thrown into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, joining the beast and the false prophet. There they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
It's very important that you understand God's overall plans for people and this
world.Failure to see it can lead to confusion and on the other hand seeing it brings a sense of peace and resolve. God's purposes will be accomplished. All things serve God's purposes, even the devil! There is a glorious future that God has purposed for you to participate in and enjoy. Through Jesus Christ you can enjoy the blessings of sin forgiven and eternal life. Just read these next few Scriptures.
Rev 21:1-8 - Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven
and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. 2 And I
saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of
heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 I heard a loud
shout from the throne, saying, "Look, God's home is now among His
people! He will live with them, and they will be His people. God Himself
will be with them. 4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will
be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone
forever." 5 And the One sitting on the throne said, "Look, I am making
everything new!" And then He said to me, "Write this down, for what I tell
you is trustworthy and true." 6 And He also said, "It is finished! I am the
Alpha and the Omega-the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I
will give freely from the springs of the water of life. 7 All who are
victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they
will be My children. 8 "But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers,
the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars-
their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death."
So were will you be found? Inside or outside? The occult is real! The powers of darkness are real! The devil is real! There powers are real as well. They are capable of manifesting super natural powers which have a tendency to stir human interest and curiosity. You must choose what side you're going to take. I plead with you to choose Jesus Christ. He has already won the battle! He's already dealt the devil a death blow. What we are seeing now in the world is the trashing around of the demonic dragon as he writhes in the agony of his demise. His manipulation of mankind will end and then will come God's ultimate purposes, a new heaven and a new earth were the redeemed of the Lord will live forever in God's presence, free from sin, sickness, death and the devil. 2Pe 3:13 - But we are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth He has promised, a world filled with God's righteousness. I want to encourage you to flee from anything that even hints of darkness and turn fully to the Lord Jesus. I want to encourage you to accept His loving invitation for forgiveness and eternal life. I want to encourage you to receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, to fully turn from your sins fully embrace Jesus Christ.
