Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the One to whom we are accountable. (Heb 4:13)
Christianity is filled with a bunch of hypocrites and phonies! I've heard this said over the years and prior to my own person salvation experience it's what I believed. I worked with those who said they were Christians and yet they seemed to me at the time to be very critical unloving and judgmental. I was never aware that they cared about me anymore than anyone else did and of the years I spent in the work place I only one person who called themselves a Christian who I thought actually cared enough about me to share their faith with me! I thought that if what I say of Christianity was what it was really all about then I wasn't the least bit interested. They seemed to have nothing to offer me! Now that's just my own pre-salvation experience and it's quite possible that I was seeing what I wanted to see.
Hypocrisy in Christianity is a very real stumbling block. It is there and what's interesting is that Jesus told us it would be. My background wasn't Christian at all, and over the past thirty years of being a Christian involved in Christian ministry it's been an adjustment for me to accept how God has chosen to do things as it pertains to His present Kingdom on earth. You would think wouldn't you that God's Church would be perfect. Well one day it will be! But until then, we're clearly told, by the Lord to expect a "mixed bag". If you are honestly seeking the truth and are questioning the perceived hypocrisy in Christianity then I want you to take the time to read these following Scriptures.
Mat 13:25-30 - But that night as the workers slept, his enemy came
and planted weeds among the wheat, then slipped away. 26 When the
crop began to grow and produce grain, the weeds also grew. 27 "The
farmer's workers went to him and said, 'Sir, the field where you planted
that good seed is full of weeds! Where did they come from?' 28 "'An
enemy has done this!' the farmer exclaimed. "'Should we pull out the
weeds?' they asked. 29 "'No,' he replied, 'you'll uproot the wheat if you
do. 30 Let both grow together until the harvest. Then I will tell the
harvesters to sort out the weeds, tie them into bundles, and burn them,
and to put the wheat in the barn.
Clearly Jesus' teaches us that at present not everyone who professes to be a Christian is truly "born again" by the power of God. There are people who go to Church who are not genuine Believers. Why? I honestly don't answer to that for you. What I do is that we've be told it will be like this. That for example Jesus' first disciples. Out of the twelve He chose to be closest to during His time on earth one of them was a hypocrite. Judas was involved like the others and it's very likely we would have found it difficult to see the difference. Jesus knew, however. For anyone interested in finding the truth and living the truth there's consolation to found in the fact that God knows those who are His. He is not fooled. God has the ability, unlike us, to see right into the human heart. Nothing is hidden from His knowledge. Heb 4:13 - Nothing in all creation is hidden from God. Everything is naked and exposed before His eyes, and He is the One to whom we are accountable.
Could it be that God allows hypocrites among the real to test our sincerity. How badly do we want the truth? Are willing to look beyond the visible imperfections in Christianity? It's important for you to understand that Jesus is your Savior, not the Church, not Christians, but Jesus. You are free to examine His person! Put the magnifying glass on His character, on His sincerity, on His integrity and see what you find. Purity, absolute purity that's what you'll find. His love for you has no hidden agenda and there's no fine print or need to read between the lines of the New Covenant that He's prepared to make with you. Put Jesus' love for you under the microscope and take a good at it. With Jesus, "what you see is what you get".
Your eternal life doesn't hinge on Christians, true or false! It hinges on your personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I encourage you to look beyond the hypocrisy you see or have experienced. Don't allow it to lock salvations door on you. There's coming day in the not too distant future when God will send out His harvesting angels and separate the phonies from the genuine. It will happen! God's perfect Kingdom will be revealed! The important thing for you is to be sure that you are found to a genuine child of God, one who has had their sins washed away in the precious blood of Jesus, one who has repented and turned completely away from sin to fully embrace the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you want the assurance that you will be found in right relationship with God when His Kingdom is purged of all that dishonors the Lord Jesus Christ? You can have the assurance of "sins forgiven". You can experience the joy and peace that God gives with salvation. God wants you to be a genuine Believer, a genuine child of God and you can be.
There's nothing phony or hypocritical about God's love for you. Rom 5:6 - When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Jesus, the One and Only Son of God came in human form to die for the sins of the world. He was put to death physically, to pay fully the ransom fee for our freedom. He did for us what we could never do for ourselves. The wages of sin is death. The death penalty has been pronounced by the Holy, Just and Righteous God against all who sin. Who can make that payment in full and still live? No one! Jesus lived a sinless life so when He died it showed clearly in died for others. On that cross is when Jesus took your sins upon Himself. He faced the righteous wrath of God against your sins. He suffered physical death as a result of taking your sins upon Himself. He became your sin barer, your sacrifice! He stood in for you when God's judgment was released against your sins. This is as far from hypocrisy as you as you get. This is genuine redeeming love. How can we resist such authenticity? How can we spit in Jesus' face and say "no" to such pure unadulterated sincerity and love. The Father certainly acknowledged Jesus' integrity. He did so by receiving Jesus sacrifice your sins and then raising Jesus from the dead. Your sins were buried with Jesus and now you can live because He lives.
The time to embrace God's love is now! The time to respond to His sincerity is now! When God calls it's time to respond. It's time to say, "Yes Lord I'm coming". Will you come now? Will you turn from your sins now and receive Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior? Can you see in heart your need of the Savior? Do you sense your sinfulness? Can you with all honesty say you don't need God's forgiveness and cleansing? Of course you can't! Everyone has transgressed God's holy law! No one has the spiritual capacity or capability of living in such away as to please God. That why we need to be "Born Again". You can be sure that when God does separate the tares from the wheat that only those whose hearts have been made new through the spiritual rebirth preformed by the Holy Spirit will enter God's perfect Kingdom.
Rev 22:14,15 - Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be
permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the
tree of life. 15 Outside the city are the dogs-the sorcerers, the sexually
immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie.
Yes, right now when you look at the Christian Church you are looking at a "mixed bag". This will not always be the case. You need to be sure you're apart of the genuine at will enter into God's perfect sin free Kingdom. I want to encourage you to take the necessary spiritual steps to salvation, to receiving forgiveness and eternal life. You'll find clear simple instruction to help you when you click here
I am pleading with in Jesus name not to still the voice of God. Don't push Him away from you. Don't reject His love! Don't say no to the Great Lover of your soul. 2P. 3:9 - The Lord isn't really being slow about His promise, as some people think. No, He is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment. Make no mistake about it you can experience God's salvation right now! Make no mistake about it you will never enter God's eternal Kingdom unless you obey Him now. Turn to Jesus while you still can, while you still have this opportunity.
