Hope can be described as "the joyful anticipation of good". In a world filled with such pain, and brokenness genuine hope is a very valued commodity. Regardless of how despairing life's situations may appear there is genuine enduring hope for everyone. Finding and experiencing this hope is not a difficult thing in our world today. It is there. You can enjoy it today!

Hopelessness is very common. It's unique in its power to cause deep emotional feelings of despair, anxiety, confusion, and fear. It seems its objective is to prematurely terminate human life. It happens all the time, people overdose on drugs, pull a trigger or jump from a bridge. Others simply live in the quagmire depression, existing in nothing more than an empty dark cave void of any light. Still others spend countless days, even years in psychiatric care.

Regardless of the source and cause of hopelessness, and as loud as its voice may deny it, there is hope. So much of our hopelessness is the result of negative circumstances and our focus on things that are simply beyond us to influence in a positive way. Sickness, poverty, politics, injustice, violence, personal bitterness, rejection, loneliness, personal failure and sense of inadequacy all scream out "hopelessness". In the midst of all the despairing voices its vital that we hear the truth.

There is hope, a hope that originates beyond the darkness and despair of temporal life. Hundreds of thousands, actually millions all over the world, regardless of nationality and culture have found it. I have! It's a hope with the power to lift people from the deepest pit and to rescue from the strongest clutches. There's a key shaped hope for every prison door, a hope that originates beyond the temporal. This hope originates in the heart of God is to be found in a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you find yourself bound today by something beyond your control, something that screams hopelessness at you, be encouraged. There is away out! There Light at the end of the tunnel. Jesus said of himself, "I am the way the truth and the life."  Jesus is the way to true, genuine, enduring hope and peace. Jesus is the Truth and He says there is hope for you. He is says right now, "There is hope for the hopeless." There is a positive future for you and it is found in the One who loves you so much that He purchased your freedom from hopelessness when He laid down His life for you. Yes Jesus has made it possible for you to enjoy a life, a new life, a new spiritual life that is filled with hope.

Hopelessness is very real and powerful force that has claimed the lives of many. In truth people are subject to hopelessness because of a severed relationship God. Humanity is naturally born into a hopeless situation. God's Word clearly informs us that all people are born with a sin nature. Why do people do the things they do? Why do we hate one another? Why do we kill, cheat and steal? Why do we lie and deceive people? Why do we strive to prove that we're better than someone else? Why are we so subject to hopelessness? It's all the result of our spiritually severed relationship with God because of our sin nature! We're birthed into this world and God's Word tells us that we are all brought into this world without a personal relationship with God and without a personal relationship with God through the Lord Jesus Christ all there is is hopelessness.
(Ephesians 2:12)

It's our many sins (sins that come natural to us all) that separates us from God. Jesus, God's only Son came to earth to open up the way for everyone to experience "new life". He did this by first paying the penalty for the sins of humanity. He gave His life as ransom! With His blood, Jesus purchased our freedom from the slave market of sin. Through Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross He satisfied His Heavenly Father's righteous judgment against sin (sin is any thought or action contrary to God's holy and righteous standard). The Father so fully accepted His Son's sacrifice that He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in Heaven. Jesus lives today to bring you His eternal living hope. No one need live another hopeless day on earth.

To receive the hope Jesus extends to you simply requires your embracing. This embracing first acknowledges personal sin. To embrace Christ and His forgiveness you first need to go to the Lord asking His forgiveness. He will forgive for. It's what He wants to do. He wants to bless you. He wants you to know and experience His eternal life. The second step is to personally receive and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. As you this God receives and fully embraces you. He blesses you with the experience of being "born again". He gives you a new life, a new spiritual heart, a heart filled with hope, peace and love for God.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.        (Rom 15:13)
