The LORD or Jehovah revealed himself to Abraham as an angel. To Moses He appeared as a Burning Bush! To the Exodus Israel He appeared as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. God's nature is to reveal Himself. He wants to be know by us.
Isaiah 43:10 "But you are my witnesses, O Israel!" says the LORD. "And you are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God; there never has been and never will be.
The study of Jehovah, the names and titles of God and person of Jesus, is one the most rewarding studies a child of God can ever be involved with. We have an awesome God, just how awesome is revealed through the many names and titles associated with Him.
The ultimate revelation of Jehovah is to be found in the person of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Heb.1:3 The Son reflects Gods own glory, and everything about him represents God exactly.
If we are to see God, to know Him, to understand Him it will be as we are looking a the Lord Jesus Christ. Through Him we are able to gaze deep into the heart of God find there the glory and splendor of His holy person. Through Jesus we can hear the heart beat of God.
